Tiago Severo Gomes advises financial institutions, payment institutions, fintechs and virtual asset service providers (VASPs) on banking and capital markets regulation, from licensing to day-to-day regulatory matters.
He works on governance, compliance and anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (AML/CFT) programs and defends clients in administrative sanctioning proceedings before the Central Bank, CVM, COAF, CRSFN, BSM and CADE. He also leads blockchain, tokenization and DLT projects.
Based in Brasília, he follows the regulatory and legislative agenda of the financial system. He represented the market, through the National Confederation of Financial Institutions (CNF), in the discussions that led to Provisional Measure 784 and Law No. 13,506/2017. He is frequently quoted by the press on crypto regulation.
