That is the question in the new episode of the Podcast O Corretor, recorded in Las Vegas during ITC Vegas 2026. Our Partner Roberto Panucci spoke with Leonardo Foltran about technology, regulation and what changes for insurers, brokerages and startups in the sector.
Some points from the conversation:
- ITC anticipates the Brazilian agenda. Roberto attended the event for the seventh time: "When you come here, you see what the market in Brazil will be looking at in 2, 3, 4 years." That was the case with telematics, blockchain and digitization. Now it is AI's turn. And the number of Brazilians at the event has doubled since 2024.
- Legal to solve problems, not to create them. Those who are not regulated want to be regulated. Those who are already regulated want to comply with the regulations properly. The role of the legal team is to take each one there.
- From idea to authorization from Susep. Many projects begin with two partners and an idea: setting up an insurer or a brokerage. The work runs from the business plan to approval by Susep, with the team trained to run the operation.
- A startup's greatest risk is usually among its partners. Before opening the company, it is worth agreeing on who has the final say, whether there will be an investor and whether the goal is to grow or to make a profit.
