🏦 The Central Bank has published new rules requiring the mandatory closure of pooled accounts (contas-bolsão), used to move third-party funds without regulatory backing.
These structures hinder the traceability of transactions and may allow financial obligations to be concealed or substituted, creating significant risks for the financial system and for consumers.
The measure strengthens the security and integrity of the payment system by combating the use of accounts held by payment institutions not authorized by the Central Bank.
📌 The rule does not apply to legitimate operations already provided for in regulation, such as FX accounts, marketplaces and other authorized intermediation models, which follow their own supervision and compliance rules.
📅 It takes effect on December 1.
