LTI Seguros, an affiliate of Loovi and one of the pioneering companies in the regulatory Sandbox of SUSEP - Superintendência de Seguros Privados (the Brazilian Superintendence of Private Insurance), received prior authorization on April 28, 2026 to operate as an insurance company in the S3 segment, in property and casualty insurance, throughout the national territory.
Prior authorization and approval: two stages, one process
The distinction between the two acts often causes confusion in the market.
- Prior authorization is SUSEP's initial ruling on the request. The agency reviews the corporate structure, the controlling shareholder, the business plan and the regulatory requirements, and grants prior authorization for the operation. Following that approval, the company has a period, as a rule of 90 days, to implement the operation and submit the corresponding administrative proceeding documentation.
- Approval is the final stage. SUSEP reviews the acts actually carried out, such as the paid-in capital increase, bylaw amendments and evidence of the required conditions, and effectively authorizes the company to operate.
LTI has now completed the final stage of this process.
We congratulate the LTI and Loovi team on this achievement, in particular Quézide Cunha, Eudes Meira, Bárbara Mol, Adalberto Amorim Silva and Pâmela Oliveira.
PSNA advised LTI Seguros throughout the regulatory structuring and the authorization process before SUSEP, with Roberto Panucci and Marcelo De Callis leading the work.
